IUPUI political analyst Brian Vargus says Barack Obama's victory in Indiana could have a lasting effect on voting in our state.
Vargus says Obama empowered young Hoosiers to back the ideals of the Democratic Party, but he also acknowledges some Hoosier voters from rural counties may have cast their ballot for the Obama campaign because of the spiraling economy.
Vargus says we'll have to wait for up to 12 years to gain a sense of whether Indiana has switched from red to blue.
