Senator Plans to Address Illegal Immigration
By Reed Parker

One of last year's hot-button issues in the Indiana legislature will be back this session.

Senator Mike Delph will again introduce legislation concerning illegal immigration.

Delph told Steve Simpson on Indianapolis Tonight Wednesday that his bill would punish businesses that employ illegal immigrants.

Delph feels the federal government is not properly dealing with the issue, so he says it’s up to the states.

He says this bill is a little different that the last. This legislation was tailored by a summer study committee and includes identification fraud measures.

The Indianapolis Republican says there will be similar bills discussed in this session.
