New Bicycle Routes Planned For Carmel
By Joe Wambach
2/27/2008

The Carmel Plan Commission's Bicycle Route Task Force is seeking input on proposed routes and circuits.

With commuters, recreational riders and families in mind, a system has been designed to identify existing streets, multiuse paths and bike lanes which will best serve to move cyclists around Carmel.

It will consist of two east- west bound routes and six north- south routes.

They would like to have at least one loop open by May, which is Bicycle Month.

The proposal still needs final approval of the Plan Commission .

Anyone with suggestions or concerns can call David Littlejohn at the Department of Community Services at 571-2417.
