One of the peregrine falcons has died.
DNR vounteer Richard Kinnett says Edna, one of four falcons that hatched this spring, was struck and killed Friday on Interstate 65. Magee was injured, but survived.
A man visiting Indianapolis was watching the young birds. Then, he saw the accident happen, scooped up the injured bird and called police for help.
Magee was taken to a Westfield rehabilitation center for X-rays and treatment.
The injured bird is one of five falcons living in a nest at the top of Market Tower in downtown Indianapolis.
