The 17th annual Rib America Festival not only features some of the best BBQ the country has to offer but also some of the best music as well. This year will be no different.
Some of the headliners through the four-day event include George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, moe., Tesla, Night Ranger, Cheap Trick, Eddie Money and others.
A hometown favorite will also be performing. The Hunter Smith Band will be one of the performers on Sunday, September 2nd. Hunter Smith is a former punter for the Indianapolis Colts and was with the team when they won their Super Bowl championship in 2007.
Tickets for all four days go on sale tomorrow (Saturday, June 9) at Ticketmaster.

Because of this outrage, Bond himself spoke up about the sponsorship in an interview with Moviefone.
"We have relationships with a number of companies so that we can make this movie. The simple fact is that, without them, we couldn’t do it. It’s unfortunate but that’s how it is," Craig said. "This movie costs a lot of money to make, ...

Miranda Lambert to Donate Concert Proceeds to Tornado Relief Efforts

Award-winning country music star Miranda Lambert has announced that 100% of the proceeds from remaining ticket sales for her March 24 concert in Louisville, Kentucky will be donated to the American Red Cross to help with tornado relief efforts.
TasteOfCountry.com reports all of the profits from the show will aid relief efforts in Kentucky and southern Indiana, both devastated by the tornadoes from March 2.
The show at the KFC Yum! Center will also be more affordable for fans as the venue and Ticketmaster have agreed to waive their ticket fees. Tickets start at $27.75.
Miranda is also scheduled to perform at Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana on June 8. No word on if proceeds from that show will also aid relief efforts.

Mayer wrote on his blog that he went to see his doctor after having difficulties during rehearsal.
"I went in for a visit on Wednesday and a scope of my vocal cords revealed that the granuloma has grown back where it had mostly healed," Mayer wrote. "This is bad news. Because of this, I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing."
Mayer had previously delayed the release of his album Born and Raised because of the same vocal chord issue which led to surgery on his vocal chords last October. He says the album will still be released on May 22nd as planned. His first single "Shadow Days" was released on March 5th. While he recovers, Mayer says he will begin work on ...

New Movies in Theaters This Weekend (3/2/12)

Just two new movies in theaters this weekend and one of them will be a great one to take the kids to. Dr. Seuss' The Lorax is the new animated feature from Universal. It features the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Bettie White and more. Here's the trailer:

Also new in theaters is Project X, a film about three high school seniors who decide to throw a party to get themselves noticed and things get out of control. This is one you probably shouldn't take the kids to.

If you see either of these films (or both), let me know what you think. See you at the theater!

When I read this, I became infuriated. Here’s the deal: I weigh roughly 350 pounds. I’ve dealt with weight issues my entire life. I, along with thousands of people across the country, would absolutely LOVE a chance to be on The Biggest Loser and learn from two of the best trainers in the world, Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince. The fact that these contestants reportedly walked off the show made me incredibly angry because they obviously have a misguided view as to why they are on the show in the first place.

It's safe to say that I will not be seeing this movie this weekend. Not after the debacle that was the first Ghost Rider film. I would have walked out on that film, but I couldn't because I had taken a date to see it. Needless to say...there weren't any dates after that.
The next movie hitting theaters this weekend is a much safer bet if you want to take a date. This Means War stars Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine (Star Trek) and Tom Hardy (Inception). The story centers around Witherspoon's character who ends up dating two men, both of whom are CIA agents. Hilarity ensues.

And finally, a film I haven't heard of until I saw the trailer just now. It's the animated film The Secret World of Arietty. I don't ...

BAFTA Award Results

In America, these awards were overshadowed by the Grammys, but the BAFTA awards were handed out Sunday night, putting us officially on the road to the Oscars. The BAFTAs are widely considered to be the British version of the Oscars and we got a sneak peek of what could happen in just under two weeks when the Oscars are handed out. Here's a recap:
The mostly silent film The Artist was the big winner, taking home seven awards for Best Film, Best Director (Michel Hazanavicius), Orignal Screenplay, Leading Actor (Jean Dujardin), Original Music, Cinematography and Costume Design.
