The viewers votes shrank the list of celebrity contestant possibilities by one as Melissa Joan Hart and partner Mark Ballas were voted off Dancing with the Stars tonight. She was joined by Louie Vito and professional Chelsie Hightower and the duo of Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova as the bottom three dance couples with the lowest viewer scoring.
Melissa was dedicated. A couple of weeks ago her charleston had earned her 10s. But, she had a hard time maintaining the pressure and dance expectations that she confronted each week after that.
Then the spotlight focused on the two remaining couples. They would face a different fate...a face-off dance-off with the eyes of the judges closely monitoring them. The judges would have their say. Both couples were out to " Wow" the judges. Each chose a different dance style in which to do it a 30-second timed format.
First up, Michael and Anna. They took on the samba. Michael could flash his smile and show his style. He looked like he was having fun. Len thought it was a coming alive for Michael. Enjoyable.
Carrie Ann said that his dance was the way that he could be "larger than life," but his technique was lacking.
Then Louie and Chelsie turned the energy up a notch with their jive. Bruno praised them for their fast, furious, energetically sharp approach. He marveled at how they could get so much content into so short a time. Len thought it to be clean and fast with one real noticeable misstep.
The judges voted him off two to one. Louie did a resounding program. Michael showed his winning charm. In the end, Louie was sent off the stage.
Next week we will have another double elimination. Michael Irvin and Kelly Osborne are the two most likely contestants to be in jeopardy. The third consideration might be hard to predict Stay tuned. It is bound to be interesting as the competion bar is raised even higher...and the list of remaining participants shrinks once again.
