Treasury Dept Tony Sayegh: Tax Event at WH
Tax Day is coming up in just a few days. Millions of Americans will be filing their tax forms this year. Many have noticed more money coming in on their paychecks this year because of the recently passed tax reform plan.
The Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs of the Treasury Department, Tony Sayegh, joins Hammer and Nigel from the White House, where President Trump is hosting a tax event in the White House Rose Garden. The event is to honor those companies who are helping their company and workers because of the tax cuts.
“You have over 460 companies giving bonuses, wage increases, re-investment dollars. They are growing their companies and raising wages for the first time in over a decade.”
House Speaker Paul Ryan announced yesterday that he intends to retire. He was a big part of putting together the framework for the tax reform plan.
“The President has tremendous respect for Speaker Ryan. They worked hand in hand to put together the architecture that led to the successful passage of tax reform for the first time in 31 years.”
