New Sculpture Displayed on City's North Side

The artwork can be seen at the intersection of Fall Creek Parkway and Delaware Street

INDIANAPOLIS – A massive art sculpture joined a neighborhood on the city’s north side this week.

The art piece, which stands 10 feet tall and weighs 1,200 pounds, was installed near the intersection of Fall Creek Parkway and Delaware Street in the Mapleton Fall Creek neighborhood.

Leigh Riley Evans, CEO of the Mapleton Fall Creek Development Corporation, hopes that the new addition will help grow the area.

"It is a way for us to welcome indiviuals to the neighborhood to celebrate this valuable space, and to make sure that we can celebrate one of our assets, which is the Fall Creek water", said Evans.

A private donation of $150,000 funded the project.
