INDIANAPOLIS–Ricker’s convenience stores will have a new owner. 

Giant Eagle is buying Ricker Oil Inc. The deal will be finalized by the end of the month. 

Giant Eagle is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They oversee 200 supermarkets and 210 convenience stores/gas stations in five states. 

The company operates six GetGo Cafe & Markets in the Indianapolis area. They are getting ready to open a seventh store in Zionsville next month. 

There are 56 Ricker’s stores and over 750 employees in Indiana. 

Owner Jay Ricker said the new arrangement will help him maintain his company’s position as a leader in the convenience store market.
