Details Emerge Surrounding Allegedly False Auburn, Indiana Amber Alert

At around 7:27 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Auburn Police Department issued an Amber alert after 2-year-old, Kevin Wayne Craig, was reported missing by his mother.

The boy's father, 28-year-old Dale Craig, was suspected of abducting the boy; however, police canceled the alert that evening, reporting that the child was safe and the suspect was in custody.

It has since been learned that Dale Craig has custodial rights to the boy and may have taken the child to protect him from a domestic situation, and the boy's mother allegedly filed a false report of kidnapping.
