Katz: Mike Pence Road to White House Goes Through Ellen DeGeneres

VP Needs to Put 'Conversion Therapy' Issue to Bed

Donald Trump will not be getting an invitation to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres show. During a segment this week with guest Megyn Kelly, Ellen said she would not allow the President on her program because she considers him dangerous and divisive.

"There's nothing that I am going to say to him that is going to change him and I don't want to give him a platform because it just validates him," DeGeneres said. "And for me to have someone on the show, I really, I have to at least admire them in some way and I can't have someone who I feel is not only dangerous for the country and for me personally as a gay woman but to the world. He's dividing all of us and I think I don't want him on the show."

While Trump might not be welcome on Ellen's show, DeGeneres hasn't issued a ban on Vice President Mike Pence (yet), and that's a very good thing, according to WIBC host Tony Katz.

Katz:

"Vice President Mike Pence, his road to the White House I believe goes through Ellen DeGeneres."

According to Katz, an appearance on Ellen's show is the VP's best opportunity to lay to rest the ongoing false accusations that Pence is in favor of Conversion Therapy for homosexuals.

"[Pence] needs to be able to put this to bed. He needs to be able to talk about this issue and put it to bed... And there's only one way to do it, and that's an interview for an hour with Ellen DeGeneres."
