2 PM|Indianapolis City Market, Whistler Plaza
Open to the public. A vigil service dedicated to the men of the USS Indianapolis and survivor Jimmy O’Donnell, who passed away in 2013. A fundraiser will be launched to erect a plaque near the Jimmy O’Donnell Statue.
5:30 PM|Victory Field
It’s Civil Rights Night at Victory Field. Celebrate and Reflect and enjoy a spectacular fireworks show presented by Indiana Civil Rights Commission following the game.
6 PM|Indianapolis Children’s Museum
This one is for adults 21 and over! After the museum closes, you’ll enjoy American POP and DANCE! A fun event to have a drink with friends and coworkers. $20 for members. $25 for nonmembers.
7 PM|Key Stadium
Featuring 30 of the world’s best extreme athletes in BMX, & Freestyle Motocross. Plus all kinds of other things being launched 50 feet into the air by the crazy Nitro daredevils! Exciting and touted as the world’s biggest and most dangerous stunts show.
8 PM|Conner Prairie
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy returns to the prairie stage Friday and Saturday night! Always a fantastic show with the bands unique blend of jazz, swing, Dixieland and big band that the whole family will love.
Saturday, July 29
1 PM|American Legion Post 500
Animal lovers…this is a good one! The mission is to raise much needed funds and supplies for the rescued animals in Speedway, but have fun at the same time! Bring the kids because City Ranch will have their baby farm animals. Larry Battson will stop by with some of his wildlife animals too! Food, live entertainment and more. Goes until 4pm.
2 PM|Military Park
A new location for Indiana’s largest beer festival…beautiful Military Park! Hundreds of craft beers from more than 100 breweries. $40 general admission; $60 early bird ticket! $10 designated driver. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Brewers of Indiana Guild and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Indiana.
7:05 PM|Victory Field
“Thor” Bobblehead Giveaway and Jersey Auction Night! The first 2,500 fans will get a “Thor” Bobblehead! Plus, tonight the Indians will be wearing themed jerseys, which will later be auctioned off to raise money for the Shepherd Community Center.
Sunday, July 30
10 AM|Broad Ripple Park
Live Music, Bounce Houses, Food Trucks and a Carnival Midway! Plus arts & crafts and wilderness activities. $5 Admission. Money raised helps support Girls Rock Indy camps and programs.
11:30 AM|Lucas Oil Stadium
Open practice actually begins at 2:15, but there will be plenty to do beforehand at Colts City/Touchdown Town. Team warmup begins at 1:45 and after “open practice”…stick around for the movie “Sing” from 5-7:30. FREE!
1:35 PM|Victory Field
It’s “PBS KIDS DAY, featuring Daniel Tiger”! He’ll be hanging around the corridor waiting to snap a selfie. Kids 14 can eat free too! Make sure to pick up a voucher good for a hot dog, bag of chips and a bottle of water for each child with the price of admission.
