INDY WINTER DOG CLASSIC

9am|Indiana State Fairgrounds

One of the Top 10 All Breed Dog Shows in the country.  Fun to watch the different breeds and their handlers compete.   The Indy Winter Dog Classic is held each February, just before the Westminster Dog Show in NYC.  Judging goes through Sunday.

 

 

SUBURBAN INDY HOME & OUTDOOR LIVING SPRING SHOW

10am|Grand Park Events Center in Westfield

Find out what’s “on trend”, meet one-on-one with local businesses as you plan your home projects for Spring!  Plus sample local foods, and shop from local artisans.  Goes thru Sunday.  Save $5 on tix HERE.  $10 at the door.

 

 

INDIANA HOME & GARDEN SHOW

Noon|Indiana Convention Center Hall H

Hundreds of exhibits covering building, remodeling, decorating and landscaping.  Plus seminars and free estimates!  Goes thru Sunday!  SAT 10-7pm, SUN 10-5pm.  $5 (under 18 Free)

 

 

AMERICAN HERITAGE CHOCOLATE MAKING

6:30pm|Conner Prairie

This event is for adults only, so bring a date, and learn about the history of chocolate.  Then take part in its preparation from bean to cup!  On the menu…chocolate puffs and cracknel.  $55/$50 for members.

 

 

ROMEO & JULIET

7pm|IRT        

Join IRT Staff and Cast immediately after the performance for a post-show discussion that covers topics related to the show.  The discussion typically lasts 20 minutes.  Romeo & Juliet goes through March 4th.

FAMILY VALENTINES DAY!

10am|Nickle Plate Arts in Noblesville

All ages invited to drop by and create Valentine’s Day themed arts and crafts inspired by famous works of art.  Make a masterpiece for the one you love most!  Sweet treats and lots of projects available. $5-$20.  Register in advance HERE.

 

 

15th ANNUAL INDIANA ART FAIR

10am|Indiana State Museum

Saturday and Sunday!  Showcasing contemporary, traditional, wearable and functional Hoosier Art with more than 60 Artists.  Free with admission to the museum.  Sunday 10-5pm.

 

 

CHOCOLATE SLIDE

10am|Indianapolis Children’s Museum

Looks like a river of chocolate in the Sunburst Atrium and it’s fantastic!  And looks delicious!  Get ready for the Children’s Museum’s “Wonka inspired Wonderland”!  Decorated like a twirly-swirly candy land.   The Chocolate Slide will last until April 29th.

 

 

FANTASTIC FOOD FEST

10am|Indiana State Fairgrounds Expo Hall

Saturday and Sunday!  Come hungry because you’ll be doing a lot of sampling!   Fantastic Food Fest is Indiana’s largest food & beverage event.  A culinary celebration with hundreds of vendors, samplings, classes, demos, and food celebrities!  $15 in advance, $20 at the door.  $30 for Sat & Sun. 

 

“BLACK HOOSIERS”  UNTOLD TALES

7pm|The Lilly Theater at Conner Prairie

A new collection of museum theater performances, that celebrates the lives and contributions of African American Hoosiers.   Join the conversation afterward, to talk about race, history and identity facilitated by Ernest Disney-Britton of the Arts Council and Tamara Winfrey-Harris of the Central Indiana Community Foundation.

 

 

“SENSE AND SENSIBILITY”

7pm|Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre

A new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel, following the fortunes and misfortunes of the Dashwood sisters.  Performances through February 17th.

 

 

“25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE”

7pm|Actors Theatre of Indiana/Center for Performing Arts - Carmel

Local production of this Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical, complete with audience participation. Six spellers enter, one speller leaves and the losers get a juice box!  Performances go through February 18th.

 

 

MONSTER JAM

7pm|Lucas Oil Stadium

Monster Jam is THE most popular monster truck tour with three main fan-favorite events.  The pit part, Racing and Freestyle.  The pit party starts at 1:30.  Lots of different ticket options, starting at $32.

 

 

“MUSEUM BY MOONLIGHT”

8pm|Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Adults have the place all to themselves until Midnight!  Explore 5 floors of exhibits, food and drinks.  Proceeds benefit the Children’s Museum Fund.  Ages 21+ ONLY.   $85.

GALENTINE’S DAY BRUNCH

11am|Indiana History Center

LADIES ages 21+ ONLY!  Bring your favorite lady friends and enjoy the fictitious holiday known as “Galentine’s Day” seen on the TV show “Parks & Recreation”.    The day starts with a brunch feast, mimosa bar, the “love Always” exhibit and more.  $35.

 

 

NEW YORK KNICKS v. INDIANA PACERS (HICKORY NIGHT)

5pm|Bankers Life Fieldhouse

The Pacers will wear their new White Hickory jerseys, and in the tradition of “Hickory Night”, the Pacers will honor Paul D. “Tony” Hinkle.  A native of Logansport, Hinkle coached basketball, football and baseball at Butler for nearly a half century.
