1st Session Qualifying begins at 9:15.  Indy Lights Race at 5:50.

 

 

Diary of a Wimpy Kid “The Long Haul” Movie Premier

7:30 PM|Pagoda Plaza at IMS

A special pre-release red carpet screening at IMS!  Very cool, with “The Long Haul” stars Alicia Silverstone, and Jason Ian Drucker who plays the “Wimpy Kid” character Greg Heffley, along with the author of the wildly popular series, Jeff Kinney.  Click here for tickets.

 


Conner Prairie’s Mother’s Day Weekend Heirloom Plant Sale

4 PM|Conner Prairie

Help mom start the gardening season right with a trip to Conner Prairie!  Their popular heirloom plants include Peppers, tomatoes, herbs and fragrant geraniums.  Conner Prairies gardeners will be on hand to answer all of your questions.  4 to 7pm.  Admission to Conner Prairie is NOT necessary!

Let's go racin'! Plenty of events goin on at IMS today, including Mario Andretti and Sam Schmidt...racing autonomous cars at 12:35!  Indy Lights second race begins just after 1:00, and the Indy Car Grand Prix begins at 3:50.

Indy's handmade, locally produced fair that encourages shoppers to be "alternative" and skip the big box stores when buying gifts for Mother's Day this year.

 

 

JP Morgan Chase 500 Festival “Kids Day” & Rookie Run

12 PM|Monument Circle

The State’s largest FREE outdoor festival for kids!   From Racing Mini Cars to Free kids haircuts by Great Clips to  Attendees can interact with local mascots and bounce in giant inflatables and more!  Plus The Rookie Run which starts at 12:30.

 

 

The Indianapolis Children’s Choir Present “In Harmony” Featuring the New World Youth Orchestra

3 PM & 7 PM|St. Luke’s United Methodist Church

The incredible voices of the ICC will fill St. Luke’s on Saturday with two shows,  highlighting music from around the world with special guests, the New World Youth Orchestra.

 

 

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour With Joe Walsh

8 PM|Klipsch Music Center

According to noblesvilleamphitheater.com, Tom Petty has hinted that this tour may be their last big one!  The band, featuring the original members, excluding drummer Stan Lynch, plan to perform all of our favorites from their 13 records, plus Tom Petty’s three solo albums!

Dial “M” For Murder - Mother Mother’s Day Brunch

It’s the Indiana Repertory Theatre's annual Mother's Day Brunch!   A delicious buffet-style brunch before the IRT's season closer,  Dial "M" for Murder -  the play that inspired Alfred Hitchcock's suspense classic. The menu includes an omelet bar and carving station, French Toast Casserole and more!  Brunch begins at 12:30 and the performance starts at 2.
