Indianapolis-based Home Health Depot Inc. says it has acquired the majority of Advanced Rehab Technologies LLC in Iowa. Home Health Depot President Nate Feltman says the deal is part of a strategy to become the "preeminent home medical equipment company in the Midwest."
National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell has raised the possibility of Indianapolis playing host to another Super Bowl. During a news conference Friday, Goodell was asked if the city is a viable candidate to be a repeat host and he responded by saying "sure it is." He added the city is doing a fantastic job, but there is still plenty of work to be done before Sunday night's kick-off.
Manchester College is touting its graduation placement rate. The school says more than 96 percent of its May bachelor's degree recipients landed jobs, entered graduate school or chose volunteer service. Manchester also says the majority decided to stay in Indiana to work or study.
The new mayor of Frankfort is bringing together more than 40 community and government leaders for a leadership summit. Chris McBarnes says the aim is to improve communication among all departments in city and county government. The event is set for February 23.
It appears the Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base will remain open, but there will be changes. A report issued by the U.S. Department of Defense indicates 20 A-10 aircraft will be removed from the base in fiscal 2013. They will be replaced by MC-12s the next year.
A company that operates a production facility in Muncie has decided to close a Canadian plant that has been involved in a labor dispute. A release from Progress Rail Services Corp. does not indicate if the shutdown in London, Ontario will lead to more jobs in Indiana. The company is planning a job fair Saturday in Muncie.
There are more glowing reviews for Indianapolis as a Super Bowl host, including a thumbs up from the man who led the city's National Football League team to its most successful season ever. Former Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy says the city has stepped up even better than he anticipated. In an interview to air this weekend on a special Super Bowl edition of Inside INdiana Business Television, he also gives his take on the Colts new head coach.
