A crime has been solved. A suspect is behind bars. A community breathes a sigh of relief… Again.
A man who called “999” to brazenly burp at police call handlers has been handed a second six-month jail sentence.
Rhys Pilott, 28, from Peterborough, was previously sentenced to six months in prison in November 2019 for “causing a public nuisance.”
Sadly, Pilott returned to a life of crime upon his release. The repeat offender viciously and with malice aforethought called emergency operators more than 80 times and was arrested five times.

The fine citizens of the Hammer and Nigel Show wish to note that this was NOT a crime of passion. This was a premeditated act of malfeasance that occurred on multiple occasions.
