That Moment Taken At The Flood
THAT MOMENT TAKEN AT THE FLOOD The keynote, Memorial Day, 2009, Crown Hill National Cemetery Night in any forest is more than dark; if the vegetation is thick, if the temperature is hot, and if fear grips the throat like an invisible assassin, it is black, impenetrable and possessed of a kind of claustrophobic presence that can turn a man into a hysterical, irrational creature. To give the devil his due, he is smart enough to understand that his is, for all intents, a two year presidency. It is logically and historically clear that his recipe for the demise of private enterprise and our tradition of strength and exceptionalism are such anathema to what Americans really believe in that one they ...
