    Reporter in Indianapolis for 93.1 WIBC-FM and Network Indiana

    Ray Steele is a news anchor and reporter for WIBC News and WIBC's sister entity, Network Indiana.

    Ray is proud to be the only Southerner on the WIBC Staff. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and raised just south of there in Trenton, Georgia, Ray attended Jacksonville State University in Alabama.

    Ray came to WIBC in December 2011 after spending the last five years in Savannah, Georgia. He earned several Associated Press Awards for news anchoring, breaking news coverage and sports play-by-play at some of the top news radio stations in the South; among them are WREC in Memphis, WERC in Birmingham, Alabama and WPTF in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ray enjoys writing, particularly about baseball and pro wrestling and is a die-hard fan of the Atlanta Braves, Alabama Crimson Tide, and WWE Champion CM Punk. He lives in Greenwood with his wife, Jen, their two daughters and two cats.
