Jeffersonville Police have released radio dispatch recordings from the recent ambush shootings of two officers.

LISTEN:

Officer Keith Broady is first to respond to a call of suspected drugs at Motel 6. A few minutes later, there is inaudible yelling followed by Broady saying, "shots fired!"

Lawhorn comes on soon after stating he'd also been hit.

The two men retreated in opposite directions as the alleged shooter, Robert Dattilo, was in between them.

Police first located Broady. Lawhorn reports he is on the top floor, when he is actually on the second.

They find Lawhorn about 7 minutes later. He suffered much blood loss with a rupture to his femoral artery.

Both officers are currently recovering at University of Louisville Hospital. Lawhorn has been upgraded to fair condition while Broady is in serious condition.

Police say the officers knocked on the motel door last Thursday to check out a report of illegal drugs when Robert Dattilo "came out with a gun in his hand and immediately fired."
