A new John Dillinger exhibit opens Wednesday at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis. It's titled Dillinger: Forging a Hoosier Legend and features unique artifacts, photographs and documents.
The exhibit provides an in-depth look into Dillinger's life and what led an ordinary Hoosier farm boy towards a life of crime.
John Dillinger and his legendary gang robbed midwest banks and confounded law officials between 1933 and 1934.
The John Dillinger exhibit at the Indiana State Library is free and is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 pm. through the end of the year.
