No charges will be filed against an Iraq war veteran involved in a standoff with police last week in downtown Indianapolis.
Police had arrested 26-year-old Jason Carrera on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness following the September 29 standoff at Lockefield Gardens Apartments near IUPUI.
Prosecutors say a review of the situation led to the decision not to file formal charges.
Carrerra is a sergeant with the Indiana National Guard and served two tours in Iraq.
Police were called to the apartment on a report of a disturbance involving Carerra, who is going through a divorce and was carjacked about three weeks earlier.
