A door to door search is underway in Lawrence as police search for a man suspected of shooting up a house Wednesday morning.

Metro Police say the call came in around seven o'clock with a person reporting gunfire into a house in the 3500 block of North Lynwood.

A suspect then jumped into a white Chrysler four-door and reportedly took police on a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds of 120 MPH.

Police say he crashed to a stop near Maple and Meadowlark Dr. The suspect then jumped out of the car and ran.

A perimeter has been set up that includes Pendleton Pike to the north, 42nd St. to the South, Post Road to the east and Esquire Plaza to the west.

IMPD, Lawrence, and State Police are canvassing the neighborhood, some using police dogs to track the suspect.

There are several apartment complexes in the area.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say Warren Township Schools are on lockdown.

There are no reports of injuries.
