A truck loaded with 1,200 cases of liquor that was hijacked in Indianapolis has turned up in Chicago.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the truck was stolen about midnight Sunday, when a trucker stopped his tractor-trailer at a wine and liquor distributorship.

Two armed men wearing ski masks pulled the driver from the cab, hit and handcuffed him, then put him in an empty truck. They then unhitched the liquor truck's trailer from the cab, connected it to their truck and drove away.

Indianapolis detectives went to Chicago to investigate after the truck was located early Monday. IMPD Sgt. Paul Thompson says he doesn't know where the truck was found or whether the liquor was still in it.
