Travel Warnings In Place Around Central Indiana
Stranded Madison County Motorists Rescued
Several people are being rescued from cars in Madison County. Emergency Management Agency Director C.R. Brown says as many as 40 motorists were stuck on State Road 37 overnight.
A sheriff's deputy is traveling with a snowplow to help those still stuck in cars.
As of mid-morning, Madison County and ten other Indiana counties were under travel warnings. Locations under travel warnings include Madison, Boone, Tipton, Delaware, Henry, Wayne, Randolph, Rush, Fayette, Franklin and Dearborn Counties.
Officials say stranded cars are keeping plows from doing their jobs.
Motorists can be ticketed for driving during the warnings.
