House Deadline Extended by Week

The statehouse will stay without the majority of House Democrats at least through the weekend.

Reed Parker reports:

The Democrats been caucusing across the border in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois.

The deadline for second and third readings for House bills, including the two-year budget agreement, have been extended to a week from Friday.  This comes as a direct result of the walk-out.

House Speaker Brian Bosma says he's talked to Minority Leader Pat Bauer several times on the phone and negotiations are on-going.
