Political Analyst Explains Democrat Walk-Out

The majority of statehouse Democrats are still in self-imposed exile in Urbana, Illinois.

House Minority Leader Pat Bauer (D-South Bend) has said they won't return Monday and still want 11 bills thrown out.

Appearing on the WIBC Morning News Monday, political analyst Dr. Brian Vargus says the reason the Democrats left the state is because, under state law, if they stayed here, the Governor could order State Police to track them down.

Listen to the interview:

Vargus says this isn't unusual because there isn't a filibuster rule.  He says a walk-out is the only way Democrats saw to stop what they call the "radical Republican agenda."
