Both police and volunteer searchers continue to comb Bloomington and surrounding areas in search of missing IU sophomore Lauren Spierer, but say they haven't found anything of significance.

Police conducted a checkpoint at 11th Street and College Avenue early Friday, looking for people who regularly drive through the area who might have seen anything related to her disappearance.

Investigators also wrapped up their search of Lake Monroe that stemmed from a specific tip, and they've been using K-9s in other searches.

Lt. Bill Parker is asking businesses in the area to provide more video footage, if they have it.

"America's Most Wanted" is set to highlight Spierer's case on Saturday night, and investigators expect a lot of tips to come from that.

Police have opened up a new tip email address -- policetips@bloomington.in.gov.

Spierer was last seen as she walked from the apartment of a friend toward her Smallwood Plaza apartment.
