There are new developments Friday afternoon in the Lauren Spierer case.

Fox 59's Russ McQuaid reports from Bloomington:

Corey Rossman, a person of interest in the investigation into the disappearance of Spierer, surrended DNA samples at Bloomington Police headquarters this afternoon.

Rossman was with Spierer at Smallwood Plaza when he was reportedly punched by some friends of Spierer's boyfriend, Jesse Woff.

Spierer then took Rossman back to home to his apartment a couple blocks away.

A source familiar with the investigation tells McQuade that Rossman's roommate put him to bed for the night, and suggested to Spierer that she sleep on the couch.  Spierer declined and instead left to go to the apartment of another neighbor, Jay Rosenbaum.

Rossman, Rosenbaum and Wolff have all reportedly hired lawyers to represent them.
