Police Go Door-to-Door in Search of Lauren Spierer

6/14/2011

Bloomington Police Tuesday began going door-to-door in the neighborhood where missing IU student Lauren Spierer was last seen.

The door-to-door search began eleven days after Spierer went missing and some neighbors in the area think police should have started right away. Zach Letters says it's a little late.

"Just now is the first day that they're coming around. It was a question in the back of our minds, for sure because we are so close, wanting to know if they were going to come and talk to us. It's a question that I think everybody around this block's been asking," Letter says.

Police and volunteers will continue to search the area Wendesday but the potential for rain could cause problems, including wiping away trace evidence.
