NFL Officials in City for Super Bowl Planning

6/15/2011

NFL officials are in Indianapolis all week to start fine-tuning the plan for hosting Super Bowl XLVI.

Public Safety Director Frank Straub says the goal this week is to have some concrete plans put in place.  He says NFL officials are also getting face time with members of the 2012 Host Commitee and vendors for everything from car service to hotels to parking garages.

A security plan is slated to be finalized sometime in late fall.  The public will get a look at how the plan will affect them sometime in late December.

Host Committee officials have said some parking garages and lots will be affected in the 10 days leading up to the game.

Plans for the game are still going forward, despite the NFL lockout currently in place.
