As IU students head back to school, some are still thinking about the disappearance of Lauren Spierer.

IU students and WIBC summer interns Lauren and Jennifer are about to head back to school and say people are still talking about the incident. Jennifer, who lives three floors below Spierer's apartment in Bloomington, says she thinks students, especially women like herself, will be more cautious at night.

Listen to the Interview:

"I've always been extremely safe. I've never felt comfortable ever walking alone but that's just a way that I've always felt is that a female shouldn't walk alone because it's not just Bloomington. Bloomington is an extremely safe community."

Lauren says she still feels safe walking home at night, although she admits she will try to walk home with friends when possible.

Jennifer adds that things like Spierer's disappearance could happen anywhere. She says she doesn't think Spierer put herself in a bad situation.
