The Forest Hills school District in Cincinnati is mourning the death of 24-year-old Meagan Toothman who died Monday afternoon at Methodist Hospital.
Toothman was kept on life support in order for doctors to harvest her organs for donation. Toothman is the 7th life lost in the Indiana State Fair stage collapse.
School District Superintendent Dr. Dallas Jackson says grief counselors are being made available at Turpin High School where Toothman was an alumna and served as the head cheerleading coach.
Counselors were also being dispatched to Mercer Elementary School where Toothman's mother is employed.
Turpin High School Athletic Director Tony Hemmelgarn says Toothman had applied to be the Assistant Cheerleading Coach a few years ago, but officials gave her the top job because of her enthusiam and passion for wanting to work with young people.
Hemmelgarn says Toothman was also preparing to be a school counselor working with kids and the community has suffered a great loss.
