Hundreds braved the rain and gathered on IU's campus for a special concert in honor of missing student Lauren Spierer.
Despite the rain, classmates, Bloomington residents and even people from out of town showed up to the "Shine 4 Lauren" event to show their support for the search for Lauren Spierer.
"This is something serious. We want to show that we care," one supporter told our partners at Fox59. Another added, "It kind of makes you think when you have a kid of your own that it could happen to anybody anywhere."
IU Basketball Coach Tom Crean, who co-hosted the event, told supporters they need to do everything they can to help the Spierer family.
Lauren's parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, attended the event and Robert says they still believe there is someone in Bloomington who knows where their daughter is.
