State Police are investigating cases of vandalism downtown.

Two statues surrounding the Soldiers and Sailors Monument were "tagged" with graffiti and State Police also found one vandalism site outside the Statehouse. ISP Captain Dave Bursten says investigators will look at various security camera footage to see if the acts were caught on tape.

Indiana War Memorials Commission Director Brigadier General Stewart Goodwin says the clean-up will not be easy since limestone is so porous.

He says they do have a chemical that works and that the cleanup process begins Wednesday.
