Experts at the University of Indianapolis Archaeology Department have determined the skeletal remains found in a field near Marion a month ago are those of 74-year-old Dorothy Heard of Noblesville.
Heard had been missing since June 13th. There is still no indication of how she died.
Her nephew, 47-year-old Donald Burns, was arrested but he has not been charged in the case. Police have said they don't think he was involved in the abduction of Heard's ten-year-old granddaughter on the same day.
