Bartholomew County officials are investigating the death of a Hope, Indiana man who was killed in a logging accident Wednesday afternoon.

RTV6 reports the accident occurred around 4:30 when a branch from a tree fell on 71-year-old Lowell Miller near County Road 900 North in Hope.

The Bartholomew County Coroner says Lowell died from blunt force head injuries. Miller was the manager of Hope Hardwoods in the city.

The investigation is ongoing.
