Hazmat crews descended on a McDonald's on the city's southwest side Wednesday night after an employee found a powdery substance in a coin roll.
RTV6 reports officials were dispatched to the 4900 block of Kentucky Avenue around 8:15 p.m. after the employee became ill after coming in contact with the powder. The restaurant was evacuated a short time later.
Wayne and Decatur Township fire crews quarantined the area to gain control of the situation. The substance was later found to be talcum powder.
The restaurant reopened after crews determined the building was safe.
