Donations for "Hoosiers for Henryville" Keep Coming

The totals keep rising in the "Hoosiers for Henryville" campaign, benefitting the Henryville High School Athletic Department.

Bobby Cox, Commissioner of the Indiana High School Athletic Association, says so far they've raised over $15,000 through on-site and online donations. Cox says they've only heard from three of the 16 regional basketball game sites that took donations last weekend but they should hear from the others soon.

"Once they get their tournament finances figured out and then count up what contributions they have been able to collect, they'll send those into us and I think once we finish with the state championships and do an accounting, we'll have a real good handle on just how well we did," Cox says.

Cox says he's been overwhelmed by the support shown by Hoosiers from across the state. He says he's spoken with Henryville's athletic director who also expressed his thanks.

The IHSAA is taking donations at this weekend's boys basketball semi-state games and next weekend at the state championships. You can also donate online at
