A Martinsville school teacher is under investigation by Indiana State Police.
Listen:
Capt. Dave Bursten says the probe involves criminal allegations, but he wouldn't be more specific. Meantime, Martinsville Schools Superintendent Dr. Ron Furniss says the second grade teacher is on paid administrative leave and will remain so throughout the investigation.
Furniss cited an alleged act of misconduct but added that because it's a personnel matter, he couldn't provide any further information. Bursten says the investigation is expected to take up to four weeks after which time findings will be sent to the Morgan County Prosector.
