Police have released the name of the woman found dead in the White River Tuesday.
Listen:
IMPD Officer Anthony Schnieder says 55-year-old Robin Kirschner of Indianapolis died of blunt force trauma to the head. Schneider says toxicology tests are still pending but as of now, investigators do not suspect foul play.
Kirschner's body was discovered face down in the White River by someone walking on the Monon Trail yesterday morning. She is the second person found dead in that area of the river in less than two weeks. Police say Gregory Jarrett, a homeless man, got drunk and rolled into the river nine days ago.
