IBE Responds To Trayvon Martin Case

Indiana Black Expo Spokesman Vernon Williams says the Trayvon Martin case should ultimately be about justice for a family and not race.

Williams says the best hope is that the justice system will reach an appropriate decision in the case without regard to race. Williams says the recent Trayvon Martin demonstration and march in Indianapolis was ultimately about activism and community involvement. Williams says he attended the portion of the demonstration that took place on Monument Circle. He says he saw people of various races united for a cause.

Williams says even if the legal process shows George Zimmerman was motivated by race, he hopes the system will be motivated by justice regardless of race.
