IPS has expelled a gay student who pulled a stun gun at Tech High School.

Spokeswoman Mary Louise Bewley said the district affirmed a hearing examiner's decision to expel Darnell "Dynasty" Young for the rest of the school year and the first half of next year.

The 17-year-old student said classmates bully him because he's homosexual.  He pulled the stun gun when he was reportedly surrounded and threatened by a group of students.

IPS says the district does not condone bullying, but it also doesn't allow weapons to be brought on campuses for any reason.
