Actress and 4-time grammy winner Olivia Newton-John is in Indianapolis serving as the Grand Marshal of the 2012 IPL 500 Festival Parade today.

Yesterday, Newton-John dropped the green flag on the Firestone Freedom 100 race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where her nephew Emerson Newton-John was racing. Although he qualified in the 8th position, Newton-John finished 17th due to a crash in lap 5 of the race with 5 other drivers.

Aunt Olivia says the whole family is in Indianapolis for the weekend to enjoy the festivities and she's looking forward to being the parade grand marshal and meeting new people.

Newton-John, a breast cancer survivor and advocate, will attend a book signing for her new cookbook in Plainfield after the parade. She also plans to attend the Snakepit Ball.
