Body Found in Anderson Home Identified

6/15/2012

The woman found dead in an Anderson home late Thursday has been identified as 58-year-old Deborah Hill.

The Madison County Coroner confirms to our newsgathering partners at RTV6 that Hill was a resident of the home in the 1700 block of West 9th Street. It's not clear if Hill owned the home or was renting it. The coroner says Hill died of natural causes sometime late last year or early this year. Foul play is not suspected in her death.

Hill's body was found by a cleaning crew hired to work on the house which was purchased by an out-of-state investor who bought the house in a tax sale, apparently without ever personally looking at the house. The body was found under a blanket and workers initially thought it was a large doll. When they began to move the body, Hill's head fell off.

Anderson Police and the Madison County Coroner are asking for anyone who might be related to or knew Deborah Hill to contact them.
