Marion County Coroner Spokesperson Alfie Ballew says they've confirmed that the skull found in the White River is indeed a human skull.

Listen:

Fisherman John Hudman of Indianapolis told Indianapolis Metro Police he saw the skull floating in the water at the east bank near Bluff Road and West Raymond Street just before 10 p.m. Ballew says the Indianapolis Fire Department dive team is combing the scene today (Monday) to look for other possible remains.

Ballew says they don't yet know the gender or any other information about the remains. They are waiting to see if the dive team can find any additional clues.
