Carmel Makes Water Conservation Request for Certain Residents
There are some heavy water restictions in Indianapolis but in Carmel, it's a different story.
The town is asking people to water responsibly but as far as a water ban goes, that isn't part of the discussion in Carmel except for about 1,000 customers who pulling from Citizens Water. Sue Maki is with Carmel and says there were 3,000 customers on Citizens' system, but the town has been converting them to the town's water supply.
For those they can't convert, are water restrictions up river? "Not at this moment, but we are looking at that."
Maki says the town will also continue to monitor the water levels in their reservoir to see if restrictions are necessary.
