New data from the Alzheimer's Association International Conference suggests that changes in the way you walk might be an early indication of Alzheimer's.
Listen:
St. Vincent Hospital Neurology Chairman Dr. Jeffrey Hillburn says the information comes from two separate studies. He says the studies take note of a person's stride length, rhythm and speed decline. Hillburn says it's an observation that general practitioner doctors can recognize.
Though Hillburn says walking is complex, he adds that close examination can reveal cognitive changes that may be linked to Alzheimer's.
