A woman is in the hospital after driving her car into an apartment building Friday night.

IFD Lt. Larry Tracy says crews were called to the Crystal Bay Apartments near Westlane and Michigan Roads just after 7:00 after the driver lost control of her car and collided with the apartment building. The driver was taken to St. Vincent Hospital but her condition is unknown. No other injuries were reported.

The crash caused a small gas leak inside the apartment. The people that lived inside the apartment were moved to another unit inside the complex. Damage to the apartment was estimated at $30,000.
