Police are investigating the shooting death of a man inside his car on the city's far east side Friday night.

Officers were called to the 11400 block of Silver Drift Way, near East 21st Street and Cumberland Road, just before 6:30. When they arrived, they found an unidentified black male in his car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A baby was also inside the car but was not injured.

Police say the suspect fired at least five shots at the victim. He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital where he later died. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's to early 30's with short dreadlocks. He was wearing a white shirt and shorts and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
