The song has almost ended for the original lineup of one of the most successful musical groups of all time, yet one you may have never heard - unless you have a five-year-old.
The Wiggles, the Australian kids' band that formed more than 20 years ago, is on what it is calling a "Celebration Tour." It actually is a farewell tour for three of the group's members. Murray Cook (the red Wiggle), Jeff Fatt (purple) and Greg Page (yellow) will all be ending their careers as performers when the tour concludes later this year in Australia. Three new Wiggles will join the blue Wiggle (Anthony Field) to carry on the franchise.
The Wiggles' Celebration Tour will be in Indianapolis Wednesday, August 8th, 6:30 p.m. at the Murat Theater at Old National Center.
Page recently rejoined the group after leaving six years ago due to a rare disease, orthostatic intolerance, a condition that causes circulatory problems that lead to fatigue, fainting and other symptoms. He spoke recently with 93 WIBC's Ray Steele.
